Snapshots

A few weeks back my mom and I took a girls road trip to visit some family friends.  My mom has an amazing group of friends that have been whooping it up since their early college years.  Their friendship is quite admirable and I can only hope that my friends and I stay as close as my mom and her's over the years! One of my mom's friends daughters, Blaire, who happens to be a good friend of mine, is a photographer and was kind enough to snap some shots of me while we were visiting:

Blaire is honestly one of the most talented artists and such a beautiful person.  I just love spending time with her and "ooo'ing and ahhh'ing" over all of her works.  Her creativity inspires me to become something more than I am and for that, among many other things, I love her. She challenges me and I love very minute of it.  Be sure to check out her photography on her blog, the first time i ran away, which chronicles her study abroad trip to London.  Her pics are truly beautiful and her words wonderfully poetic. We had a wonderful stay in beautiful Brighton, MI which was filled with poker, lunching, shopping, chatting, and of course lots and lots of giggles ;)

Summer Prints, Layers, and Scenery

Not gonna lie, I felt totally boho in this get up and loved every minute of it! Maxi's are most definitely my go to summer pieces. They are super easy and cute, especially when they come in unique summer prints.  I bought this one at a Gap a few years ago and boy am I glad I did.  Total effortless glam.

Now this vest has been doin' some serious step and repeatin' lately. I adore laying. I love that by layering you can create intricate looks that are all your own. While layering is great, it may be the last thing you want to do in 100 degree heat. That's where the beauty of the vest plays a role! A super light way to incorporate layers in the summer.

These pics were taken on a bluff at Concordia University Wisconsin, where I am working for the summer.  Lake Michigan is quite the beauty.  Can't say I'm complaining about the scenery where I'm clockin' hours this summer. Here's to summer prints, layers, and beautiful scenery!

Oh The Places WE Will Go

Last night was one of the best nights of my summer thus far. I went to dinner at my favorite restaurant, in my favorite part of Milwaukee,with some of my favorite people, could there be a more perfect combo?! Here are some snaps from the lovely evening:

I am honestly so blessed to have such wonderful people in my life.  They are the true definition of beautiful souls.  Reminiscing on old times reminds me of how much we have grown together, while fantasizing about our futures only reminds me of the places we have yet to go. What a great journey that we get to take on together!

Green Repeat

So I got a little slap happy while taking these pics today... hence me thinking I would just blend in with the bushes?? 

Any who, this dress is on repeat from way back when it was zero degrees out and I had to wear tights with it.  Lets just say I was very happy to just throw this simple dress on and not worry about dressing my legs for chilly weather.

I'm Back!

And the bad blogger award goes to... ME! So sorry for the lack of postage these past two weeks! But if any of you are in or have been to college, you know that finals week is a little manic...and when I say a little I mean a LOT!

Since finals are over that means that I am officially finished with my freshman year of college... like what!? HOW did that happen!  More importantly,it's summer! Bring on the beach, bonfires, old friends, and lots and lots of laughs.  And come on, how beautiful is Milwaukee (these pics are on a bluff looking over Lake Michigan).  I am super happy to be home and my summer shenanigans have already begun!
